Keep flying, and charging, in the cold.

High energy density battery packs and a heated charging case for drones that have to work through a northern winter. We work with drone makers to fit them to their aircraft.

  • ≈ 800 WhPer module, at about 2.5 kg
  • 300+ Wh/kgEnergy density at the pack level
  • −30 °CLowest design flight temperature

Approximate design values for our current module. Final figures depend on the aircraft.

Packs

Lithium cells lose capacity and gain internal resistance quickly below 0 °C, so most drone packs give up a large share of their flight time in the cold. Ours are built on high energy density cells, designed to fly at −30 °C, and flown on our own aircraft.

Charging case

Cold cells should not be charged until they are warm again. Our heated case is designed to make charging in the field practical through the winter, so a cold battery does not have to end the day.

Sized to your aircraft

We configure packs to suit each aircraft, from a single module to several on bigger airframes, and size them with the same endurance model we use for our own aircraft. Calibrated against our flying demonstrator, it predicted the demonstrator's power draw to within 2 %.

Assembled in Canada

Final assembly happens in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. You deal directly with the engineers who design the packs, from the first call to the evaluation pack.

Fly our packs on your aircraft.

We are looking for drone makers to evaluate packs on their own aircraft. Tell us what yours needs from its batteries, and how you handle them in the winter today.
